J. Korsø Jensen’s central areas of work comprise commercial litigation, including litigation in respect of the banking and financial industry, litigation in respect of contract law, litigation in respect of serious financial crimes and litigation in respect of company law.

Furthermore, J. Korsø Jensen is on a current basis participating in M&A - transactions.

Finally, J. Korsø Jensen is member of the board of directors of several Danish and foreign commercial companies and has for many years been appointed as an arbitrator in a number of commercial arbitrations in Denmark and abroad.

As defense attorney in respect of litigation covering serious financial crimes:

• J. Korsø Jensen has in a period of more than 30 years been appointed as defense attorney in a number of the most publicized criminal court cases in Denmark, covering serious financial crimes and acting in that capacity for Jan Bonde Nielsen in the matter of breach of trust in respect of B&W/Gredana, for the shareholders in the matter fraud in respect of Scandinavian Capital Exchange,  for the management of Holstebro Bank in the matter of management liability for conduct of the bank, for members of the board of C&G Bank in the matter of management liability in respect of the bank’s financial collapse, for a member of the management in the matter of Nordisk Fjer Group in respect of fraud, for former members of the management in two banks in the matter of the stock manipulation as part of the financial collapse of ebh bank, and latest for the managing director in the matter of liability in connection with the collapse of the O.W Bunker Group.

As counsel in commercial national and international arbitration and litigation:

J. Korsø Jensen has, amongst others, been representing:

• Civil contractors from Denmark, Germany, France and the Netherlands in connection with the public tender for the construction of the Great Belt Bridge in Denmark. following Denmark’s lack of compliance with Danish and EU statutory tender regulations; 
  
• Danish and foreign civil contractors in respect of the construction of the metro-system in Copenhagen;
  
• Danish Vølund Group in an ICC - Arbitration in France in respect to the sale of the Group’s Danish subsidiaries;
  
• Italian Finmeccanica/Ansaldo Group in respect of a number of international arbitrations in Denmark and the United Kingdom related to construction contracts; 
  
• Alstom Power Group in respect of litigation related to compliance with Danish and EU-competition rules;
  
• A.P. Møller-Mærsk A/S in an arbitration in London related to agency- and oil drilling rights in Egypt;
  
• BG Bank and Sydbank in more than 300 individual court cases in the Danish Courts in a matter of the banks’ alleged financial liability when accepting instructions from customers/third parties for  the receipt and trans¬fer of funds;
  
• Dansk Undergrunds Consortium (DUC) and A. P. Møller-Mærsk A/S/Mærsk Olie og Gas AS in matters of arbitration with Dansk Olie & Naturgas (DONG) covering different contractual issues under a number of Gas Sales Agreement covering the sale and delivery of natural gas from the North Sea; 
  
• Saxo Bank in several court cases in respect of contractual issues under the Danish Financial Business Act in respect of forex and derivatives trading; 
  
• Several court cases in respect of alleged management liability in connection with different financial collapses, including the collapse of the O.W. Bunker Group in 2014;
  

Additional areas of work:

J. Korsø Jensen has, amongst others, been representing:

• A.P. Møller-Mærsk A/S in connection with the negotiations with the Danish Government in respect of the extension of the sole concession for the exploration of oil and gas in the North Sea, which expired in 2012, but after the negotiations was extended to 2042;
  
• Industriens Realkredits Fond in a court case covering the rights of minority shareholders; 
  
• Foreningen Trygsagen in a court case against TryghedsGruppen s.m.b.a. in relation to the legal ownership TryghedsGruppen s.m.b.a and the position the insurance customers in relation hereto;
  
• The Italian Tecnimont Group in connection with its participation of the last part of the Metro-project Cityringen.
  
• J. Korsø Jensen was J in 1981 appointed as a permanent trustee in the Maritime and Commercial Court in Copenhagen by the Danish Ministry of Justice and has in that capacity in the period 1981 - 2016 been appointed as trustee in more than 1.000 commercial bankruptcies
  
• Furthermore, J. Korsø Jensen has participated as legal advisor in more than 200 M&A transactions and has been appointed as an arbitrator in a number of arbitrations in Denmark and abroad.
